If you haven't visited the Post lately pleasae stop by and enjoy all the remoding that has just been completed.  Our thansk to all volunteers and to Commander Bartlett for commiting the resources to complete these much needed improvments, which will add security and longevity to our Post.

We would like to welcome our newest members to the Post 81 family:

Andrew Inman, GWOT-USA/ Joy and Alfonso Barron, GWOT-USA/ Edurardo Lopez, GWOT-USMC/ Chris Barton, GWOT-USA.  If you see a new face around the post please introduce yourself.  Welcome each and encourage them to become involved in our activities and programs. The National Commander has a recruitment award currently ongoing, you recruit 3 new members to any Legion program and you can receive a speical Pin from Commander Rohan, keep track of your personel and give that information to Adjutant-Paul Cervantes for application.

The Commadner has approved a plan to hire childcare for members who have children and wish to attend monthly membership meetings.  Due to the lack of participation child care will no longer be provided AFTER the May General Membership Elections Meeting.

Elections for Post Officers:

Elections for all Post Offices are to be held on May 24th at 1900 hours.  If you are a paid up member for 2018 membership year your presence is requested on this occassion.  Your vote counts, Nominations for Offices are as follows:

Come join us in wishing outgoing Commander Don Bartlett "Best Wishes" as he completes his last officiation of Post 81 meeting and elections.  Don has decided to not seek reelection as Commander.  During his tenure the Post has regained a solid financial footing, his leadership guided the post through major renovations to the roof, security system and the meeting hall. He has overseen contributions in excess of 20K dollars to various community programs Post 81 supported in 2017-2018.  Post 81 was very fortunate to have Commander Bartletts leadership these past 4 years, we wish him and his wife Jeannie all the best.  The Post will host a short reception immediatley following the installation of Officers on May 24th, 2018 in the Post Meeting Hall.

Thank everyone for your support of American Legion Post 81 and it's members and programs.
